By the Word of the Lord, Victorious Empowerment Church Inc. was born. God spoke to Elder J. Bradford Johnson Jr. clearly stating, “I have placed an anointing within you to bring the people to a state of victory.” God then proceeded to give him a vision of a magnificent tabernacle in which people of all races, nationalities, and backgrounds rejoiced in the Lord chanting, “He has given us the victory! The Lord reigns, and He given us the victory!”
Thinking that this was a vision of the victorious time the saints of God would have in heaven; Elder Johnson simply brushed the vision aside. This vision then became a reoccurring nightly dream. Then while sitting in a Fifth Sunday Fellowship Service at a local church, God released a word though the Pastor of that church entitled “You are Victorious.” During the message, again God spoke clearly to Elder Johnson that he needs to unseal himself and let the greatness of God flow through him. Victory will not be given after he reaches promise, victory will overtake him while in the process of taking ownership of promise.” God then led Pastor Johnson to the scripture I John 5:4; “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the word: and this is the victory that overcometh the world even our faith.”
From that moment forth Elder Johnson began to “write the vision and make it plain that they that read it may run.” The first business meeting was called on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at the Dixon Building in Vidalia, GA. There were nine people in attendance in this meeting, and two joined the church that evening. With just two adult members and one child, Elder Johnson committed to begin the work that the Lord had called forth, and the church was name Victorious Empowerment Church Inc. The church held its first Pre-Launch service on Sunday July 12, 2015 which continued every 2nd and 4th Sunday throughout the year. Bible Study was every Wednesday night with the first one being held on July 8, 2015. Victorious Empowerment Church Inc. was officially incorporated by the State of Georgia on July 14, 2018.
The church moved into its first permanent home, 204 NE Main St. Suite 5 Vidalia, GA, in January 2016. Victorious Empowerment Church Inc. held its official Launch Revival every Sunday Night in that same month. God added another soul to the church during the revival. February 2016, V.E.C. began having regular Sunday morning services at 9:00 A.M
God has been so kind to this local called assembly, by the end of December 2017 every Sunday morning service was filled to capacity. The church, now with 30 active members, began to seek out a new location. God favored Victorious Empowerment Church Inc. to be offered a building in the same shopping complex that it was currently located, that tripled in squared footage allowing for double the amount in seating capacity. The church now had space to add a finance office, a children’s church, fellowship hall, kitchen, and several bathrooms. July 1, 2018, the Lord blessed the house to move into their third tabernacle 204 NE Main Street Suite 7 & 8 Vidalia, GA. In the same year Victorious Empowerment Church Inc. launched a foundation Victorious Empowerment Community Cares Foundation, which is housed at 206 NE Main Street Suite 2 Vidalia, GA. Victorious Empowerment Community Cares Foundation is a non-profit organization designed to empowering the people by bridging the resources between the faith-based communities and the social/ governmental communities.
Expecting greater things to come, Victorious Empowerment Church Inc. has adopted a motto, “Greater goes before us, but our victory starts right now”. Our expectation is set on how great God can make things happen if we focus on bringing glory to His name. We realize that we already have the victory even while going through the process of taking ownership of promise.
